“ About one hundred members of the Arethusa Fraternity were in attendance at the annual convention held at Rochester Friday and Saturday.
Friday afternoon Miss Jessie Harkness,…, was ‘at home’ to other members from 3 to 5 o’clock.
…The table was attractive in green and white, the society’s colors.
… Saturday forenoon the fraternity held its final session at Reynolds Library when considerable business was dispatched. One of the features of the meeting was the decision to adopt a new ‘handclasp’, the girls called it, but which a man’s secret society would call a ‘grip’.”
